Formed in late 2009, Night Train features new vocal talent Courtney McAdams performing popular jazz standards. Backed by pianist Tim Nolan and bassist Dale Churchett, they were soon playing shows around Austin to enthusiastic receptions.Courtney has sung many different styles of music. She started out as a classically trained vocalist, and attended Texas State University as a Vocal Performance major, but eventually fell in love with jazz. Her influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughan.
Tim and Dale experienced musicians with years of experience playing many forms of music in Europe and the US. Frequently joined by Jake Adams and Cliff Maxwell on drums, they bring their talents together for Night Train to form a swinging backing band to compliment Courtney.
